The Exeter Arms on Rydon Lane shut yesterday following a visit from an Enviromental Health Officer.
Staff were notified one of its customers had been suffering from norovirus.
An spokesperson for Toby Carvery, which owns the business, says the area has now been deep cleaned.
It's not yet known when the pub will re-open.
