Exeter pupils join Jamie's Food Revolution Day

Charlie, Joseph, Ruby and Lily from St Peter's school

School lessons were swapped for cooking lessons for 30 children today.

Pupils from 12 different schools across the city have taken part in Jamie Oliver’s restaurant in Princesshay.

The celebrity chef launched the global campaign to put compulsory practical food education into schools.

It'll involve a petition being taken to the G20 summit, whose member nations are already committed to tackling child obesity.

At today's event the schoolchildren made an incredibly healthy sandwich with crushed and 'bashed' vegetables, seeds and herbs in granary bread.
