WATCH: Local residents cheer workers
Lots of noise and support was generated in Exeter and the surrounding areas during a national clap for NHS workers on Thursday. Some residents let off fireworks, some sang and others made music with tin pots!
Devon joined the rest of the nation to show its appreciation to all NHS staff, who are working day and night to help patients suffering from Coronavirus.
Britain turned blue as the public applauded the workers from their doorsteps, windows and balconies. Members of the royal family also took part.
This short video below, filmed in Waverely Road Exeter, was one of many streets taking part.
