A-level students in Exeter have designed and carried out a research project on a chemical commonly found in plastic food and drink packaging.
The compound Bisphenol A has been linked with changes to the way genes behave, as well as some diseases, but the evidence isn't conclusive.
124 students from six schools have now spent a week avoiding any food from packaging that could contain it, and have just been tested to see what effect the reduction has had.
The project was overseen by Exeter University Medical School.
