Councillor calls for new sports facilities if existing running track is lost
An Exmouth councillor wants a new athletics facility for the town, to replace a running track which will be lost as part of the regeneration project.
Jill Elson, who represents the Halsdon ward, has been impressed by a scaled-down sports track she saw in the London borough of Hackney, and has got more information from them.
If it goes ahead, as well as a running track, it will have facilities for the high-jump, long-jump and javelin throwing.
