A 16-year-old male charged with the attempted murder and rape of a 10-year-old girl, has appeared before a District Judge at Plymouth Court this morning (11th October).
The violent assault took place on Thursday 4th October in the Marley Road area of Exmouth,
The suspect, who cannot legally be named due to being under the age of 18, will now be held on remand.
The case has been referred to Exeter Crown Court and the next stage of the legal process is expected to be set for early next month.
