Devon's to get an extra 30 million pounds for adult social care over the next 3 years ... but critics say it isn't enough to fix the many problems facing the health care sector.
The Chancellor announced in his budget last week that 2 billion pounds will be spent on improving adult social care ... and Devon will get 15 million over the next 12 months, with a further 15 million in the following 2 years.
Liberal Democrat county councillor Alan Connett welcomes the extra money, but wonders why it wasn't included in the original council funding allocation announced a month ago.
He also thinks this is a 'sticking plaster' rather than a long-term solution.
