Parts of Devon are recovering from a battering by strong winds and heavy rain yesterday evening.
The fire service was called out to several incidents of flooding, including one near Broadclyst where people had to be rescued from a vehicle stuck in flood water.
South West Trains had to suspend services for a while after a tree fell on to the track between Axminster and Honiton and was hit by an empty train.
There are no reports of any injuries caused by the bad weather in this area.
