A show of support from the public this week could help make the case for wild beavers to be allowed to continue living on the River Otter.
Natural England is due to decide soon whether to let the Devon Wildlife Trust go ahead with its plans to safeguard and monitor the beaver population.
It held a meeting on Wednesday to assess whether local residents are in favour - and around 95 people turned out despite the bad weather.
