It happened on Dartmoor yesterday
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting that her dog was stuck down a rabbit hole on Dartmoor yesterday (Thursday 7th February 2019).
One Fire appliance from Ashburton was mobilised by Fire Control.
On arrival, the Incident Commander confirmed that a terrier type dog was stuck down a rabbit hole. Crews got to work with shovels and picks to try to locate the dog and requested the assistance of a 4 x 4 vehicle from Bovey Tracey and a snake eye camera which was sent from Newton Abbott.
The dog was finally located and rescued before being handed back to his owners.
