Thought to be accidental
Fire crews have been tackling a major blaze in Newton St Cyres.
It started at around 4pm on Thursday 4 August. When the initial appliances arrived, they immediately called for extra resources because of the extent of the fire.
The fire involved 2 fields covering approximately 100 acres of standing wheat - 20% of which was damaged.
The cause of the blaze is thought to be accidental.
