Plans for the first stage of the Guildhall shopping centre revamp go before Exeter city councillors this evening - and are recommended for approval.
The improvements will create a more striking High Street entrance - including a cafe facing the street, and flats above.
Work's due to begin this summer and will take place in phases so as not to disrupt shopping and leisure.
