Murder investigation underway
Five teenagers are being questioned on suspicion of murder following a suspected arson attack in North Devon.
16 crews from across Devon spent more than four hours tackling the blaze on the two-story building in the town centre, some of whom have been told they cannot return for a few days.
Police and ambulance were called to the incident on Honestone Street in Bideford on Tuesday (28th October), evacuating more than 40 residents.
One person remains unaccounted for, and their next of kin has been made aware.
Four boys and a girl, who are all from the town and under the age of 18, have been arrested and are in custody.
A local man in his 30s has previously been detained on the same suspicion but has been released on bail.
The incident also caused a huge power surge in the area for more than 200 locals.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and help with their investigation, quoting log number 748 of October 28th.
