Four others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A five-year-old girl has died following a collision on the A35 near Honiton.
The collision, involving a white BMW 318 and a blue Land Rover Discovery Sport, happened at around 2:35pm on Sunday 16 January at Fern Lane, Wilmington.
The driver of the Land Rover, a 50-year-old woman from the Tooting area of London, was taken to Dorchester with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30's, and a female passenger also in her 30's was taken to hospital with injuries also not thought to be serious. An 8-year-old girl, a passenger of the BMW, remains in hospital with serious injuries which aren't thought to be life-threatening.
The 5-year-old who died was a passenger of the BMW. All four occupants of the car are a family from the Saltash area of Cornwall.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw wither vehicle before the incident or witnessed the collision itself. They would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam footage that could help with the investigation.
