Council removes symbols it claims are unsafe
Police have kept two groups of protestors apart in Plymouth in a demonstration about the council's stance on flags being placed around the city.
The initial event last night in Armada Way in the city centre was organised by a group calling itself Flag Force Plymouth.
They were upset after the city council removed St George's flags and union flags it claimed were unsafe or unlawful.
Around 150 supporters faced off againsta about 70 others supporting the rights of refugees.
