He searched for the victim 24 times on work systems
A former Devon and Cornwall Police officer has pleaded guilty to stalking and charges of misconduct in public office.
Exeter Magistrates' Court heard how Kevin Davis, 41, of Seaton, made a woman feel vulnerable and unsafe by repeatedly approaching and asking her out.
He approached the victim at the gym and searched for her 24 times on systems at work over a three-month period, including whilst he was on annual leave.
The prosecution said Davis made "repeated unwanted comments" on social media posts to the victim and asked her out several times at the beginning of the year.
Davis was granted bail with a condition not to contact the complainant and will be sentenced on 17 September.
