Local charities, community groups and school breakfast clubs are to benefit from a food redistribution initiative by a supermarket giant.
Tesco has been giving away surplus food through its biggest stores since last year and is now extending the scheme to all its shops and convenience stores, including those in Exminster and Exmouth.
Several Exeter charities who run cafes, including Cafe 55, Age UK and the Westbank Centre are already on board, and it's hoped others who could use free food will also get in touch.
