An online fundraiser for the funeral raised almost three-times its target
Dozens of people attended the funeral of much-loved Devon traveller John Treagood in Whimple [27 February].
He passed away peacefully earlier this month at the age of 84.
An online fundraiser for the funeral raised almost three-times its target. The extra money will go towards looking after his horses and also to the World Horse Welfare charity.
Those attending the funeral at East Devon Crematorium were asked to wear "bright and colourful" clothing, while it was live-streamed for those who were unable to attend.
John was a former university lecturer and was a regular sight on roads and roundabouts in Devon.
