Police are investigating the incident in North Devon
A 16-year-old girl has died after reportedly being hit by a pick-up truck in the early hours of this morning [28 June].
Police were called at around 12.40am to reports of a collision between a Nissan pick-up and the local girl on the A361 near Trimstone.
Localised closures were put in place as emergency services attended. Sadly, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area during the time of the incident as they could hold information that could assist with the investigation.
