Van hits horserider in Launceston
A young girl has been airlifted to hospital following a suspected hit-and-run involving a horse and a van in Cornwall.
The 8-year-old was riding at Higher Treween near Launceston around 2:20 p.m. on Sunday (January 12th) when a white Ford Transit van struck them.
The horse had to be put to sleep by vets at the scene.
A man in his 60s from Launceston has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of several offences, including driving while disqualified.
