A study on proposed rail improvements in the south west - seen as vital for securing Government investment - IS to go ahead as planned, according to the Department for Transport.
The rail minister Claire Perry announced today that the report will be carried out by Network Rail, as planned, and funded by GWR.
It'll back up another report being drawn up by the Peninsula Rail Task Force, putting the case for investment in the Dawlish rail link and other network improvements.
GWR are providing the new trains which will be introduced in two years' time.
