Thousands of homes in east Devon were left without power last night after an electricity black-out - which began with dramatic green flashes of light.
Residents in the Exmouth area took to social media to report what looked like lightning at about 8.30pm.
Western Power Distribution has confirmed that there's a fault in its very high voltage network, and the flash was caused by cables coming together and short-circuiting.
The company says all properties are back on supply now and its engineers are working to fix the problem.
