Meanwhile they've rescued a person from their van in a river in Kingsteignton. The water was said to be up to the windows of the vehicle in Exeter Street.
Crews from Newton Abbot used flood rescue suits and lighting to save them.....they weren't injured.
The B3179 is closed in both directions due to flooding from Exmouth Road in Clyst St George to Woodbury.
And the whole of the A 377 between Hookway Cross and Quickes at Newton St Cyres is flooded and said to be very dangerous.
A Yellow warning for heavy rain from the Met office is valid until 6 O'Clock this evening. Numerous Flood alerts are in force and there's a flood warning for the lower River Teign from Chudleigh to Kingsteignton.
