High Court rules for East Devon District Council in ongoing dispute about redevelopment of historic seafront building
Campaiging to prevent Budleigh Salterton's historic admirality longboart on the seafront being redeveloped is set to continue -- despite a setback for opponents of the plans in the High Court yesterday.
A judge ruled that East Devon District Council has acted legally in the planning process that could see the longboat changed into a two-storey glass-fronted restaurant.
On the day of the ruling, one Budleigh resident made a substantial contribution to the fighting fund. Longboat association chairman is David Daniel.
