The first trainees to achieve a new qualification in aircraft engineering, after a unique course run by Exeter College and the airline Flybe, are graduating today.
They were among 160 higher education graduates who were due to parade through the city streets in academic dress before a ceremony at Exeter Cathedral.
The four-year Flybe course was developed in conjunction with Exeter College after the airline signed up to the Government Skills Pledge in 2007 - and all 23 of its graduates already have jobs, 16 of them with Flybe.
