The decision by a high-tech company to make Exeter its global base is being seen as a boost for the city's aim to become a 'knowledge economy'.
The Blur group has decided to make the Science Park its global base, after setting up a research and development centre there in the summer.
Exeter city council is currently working with consultants to find the best ways of bringing this kind of enterprise, offering high quality jobs, to the area.
