Police respond to Mutley Plain assault
A large police presence was in place through Sunday morning in the Mutley Plain area of Plymouth following an assault that left a man in his forties in hospital.
The victim was attacked between 1.30am and 2.30am in Belgrave Road.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The cordon was lifted around lunchtime on Sunday and now police say they are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly people with mobile phone footage or dash cameras.
