An initiative to attract shoppers in Exeter to explore beyond the High Street chain stores is being launched today.
Independent traders from St Thomas, Fore Street and in the main High Street area, have created a 'shopping trail' .
People can pick up a map in any of the participating outlets and follow it around the town - every business they visit will stamp the map, and once completed it can be entered in a prize draw.
The initiative has been praised by the city centre manager John Harvey, who is pleased to see traders joining forces to promote their own businesses and bring shoppers into other areas of Exeter.
