Police investigating a burglary in Exmouth hope items left inside the house may help identify the culprit.
The house in Portland Avenue was broken into at the end of last month while the owners were away.
Jewellery, commemorative coins and some foreign currency were taken.
But the burglar seems to have accidentally left behind a purse containing a distinctive Indian coin, attached to a key ring with three keys on it, two metal and one plastic.
