The motorist who died after being hit by a vehicle while changing a tyre on the A30 near Exeter yesterday is thought to be a man in his 50s from Crewkerne in Somerset.
A 32-year-old man from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation.
It happened on the onslip to the A30 eastbound carriageway at Alphington junction.
Police investigations are continuing and any witnesses are asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 303 of 26/03/18.
