Devon County Council is investing another £3.5 million in the education service for the Exeter area.
Work has already started on a new building on Falcon Road at Sowton which will provide education for students who have been excluded or who are at risk of exclusion from their schools.
It will open after Christmas.
The Central Devon Personalised Learning Service building replaces outdated facilities at the old St Luke’s campus at Ringswell Avenue and the Fountain Centre next to St James Park.
Falcon Road will primarily support secondary school students from Exeter and East Devon. But there will also be specialist provision for a small number of primary age pupils
