Staff from the soon-to-open John Lewis store in Exeter have spent the day volunteering at the St. Sidwell Community Centre.
Branch manager, Kate Connock, and four department managers helped with garden maintenance, spending the day weeding and clearing overgrown areas ready for new planting.
Ms. Connock was "pleased to contribute the amazing work".
"Many vulnerable people benefit from the Centre, so my department managers and I were delighted to be part of something which has such a positive impact on our community.”
Becky Howell, general manager at St. Sidwell’s Community Centre, said: "Everyone at the Centre is very pleased to have support from John Lewis. The work carried out by the team in the community garden has made a real difference and we are glad to have had this opportunity to welcome John Lewis to Exeter ahead of the shop opening next month."
