With the weather getting colder, people in Devon who rely on oil for heating are being urged to join a group scheme which helps combat fuel poverty.
The Community Council of Devon has set up the 'oil collective' which buys in bulk and negotiates to find the best price.
The council says its work with rural communities has found that many elderly people in isolated areas are struggling to pay for fuel to heat their homes.
Under the scheme, buyers of small quantities of oil benefit from the same savings as those putting in bigger orders, and the more people who join, the better savings can be negotiated.
