Tall woman dressed as man threatens two with weapon
Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were threatened at knifepoint in Newton Abbot on Friday night.
Around 8.45pm, a tall woman tried to rob another woman outside the Spar shop in Battle Road, Heathfield after asking her for the time. As the first victim was being treated in the shop, the woman then tried to rob a man leaving it. He was threatened on the steps of the shop.
It's thought the offender had been in the area for some time. She's white, between 5'8" and 5'11" tall and was wearing a blue or grey baseball cap, a khaki hip-length jacket, baggy blue jeans, trainers and was a carrying a small white paper bag and a black drawstring bag,
A 30-year-old's been arrested and released under investigation of attempted robbery.
