HM Coastguard calls for RNLI assistance to pull unconscious female from water's edge in Exmouth
A woman's been taken to hospital after being rescued from the sea at Orcombe Point in Exmouth last night.
An ambulance was called at quarter past 7 after reports of an unconscious female in the water.
Exmouth's lifeboat launched just after 8 so that its crew could use a basket-stretcher to recover the woman, who was drifting in and out of consciousness in water said to be knee-height. She was taken to the RD&E.
