Devon and Cornwall police have received a good report on the way they've achieved massive spending cuts in the four years to 2015.
All forces have been scrutinised by Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary, whose report is released this morning.
It acknowledges that Devon and Cornwall was a relatively low-spending force with less scope for cuts than many others... but says it's become more cost-effective and improved productivity to achieve the 53 million pound savings.
However, the report notes that the plans for further savings beyond 2016 won't achieve the required reduction in spending, and suggests that the government needs to look at the way it distributes funds.
