Fire Crews spent last night dealing with a lorry that hit a building in Axminster and ruptured a gas pipe.
The two storey property has significant damage and part of it collapsed. No one was hurt and the HGV driver managed to get out.
Teams and specialist units from the town as well as Charmouth, Taunton and Exeter were all involved.
Cordons were put in place, utilities were isolated and surveyors conducted structural checks on the building
By 10pm last night (Monday 10th September) they said the area on Silver Street was safe, but cordons remain in place.
