He was found covered in oil in the back of a truck
Exeter Cats Protection are asking for the public's help after finding a cat in the back of a truck which had travelled to East Devon from Cornwall via the Bodmin area.
The cat was covered in oil, had several small burns and was very skinny when he first arrived at Exeter Cats Protection. He has since been bathed, groomed, fed up and treated for his minor burns. He is looking much better and is even starting to change colour!
His burns are looking much better since coming in - and he is gaining weight well. He still has a long way to go before he is a clean, plump cat again though. In the meantime, Exeter Cats Protection are hoping to find its owner.
Exeter Cats Protection said: "We do not know when he got into the truck or how long he has been lost for but his greasy fur and body condition suggests some time.
"We are reluctant to decide on an age for him due to his poor condition – once all cleaned up he may well be much younger than he currently looks. He is a friendly loveable cat who enjoys his pamper sessions but someone must surely be missing him."
If you recognise this cat, please contact Exeter Cats Protection.
