A man has been charged, following an incident outside Sainsbury's Pinhoe on Thursday [12 March] in which three people were hit by a car.
Emergency services all descended on the store at around 5pm, along with a police helicopter.
Three people, including a police officer, were injured and taken to hospital. They have all since been discharged.
30-year-old Damien Price, from Exeter, is charged with GBH, ABH, assaulting an emergency worker, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
DI Dawn Perriam said: “We would like to thank members of the public who came forward to assist in the incident, many of whom we have spoken to and taken statements from. We would also like to thank the staff at Sainsbury’s for all their help.”
Price will appear before Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Saturday [14 March].
