Man in hospital in serious condition
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following reports of a stabbing in Exeter.
Emergency services were called to Clifton Hill, in the city, at around 10.40pm last night (Monday 23 March).
The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to hospital in a serious condition. His next of kin have been informed.
The 49-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remains in custody at this time.
Multiple scene guards are in place, in and around the Newtown area of Exeter. The neighbourhood team will be carrying out local foot patrols throughout the day.
