A South Devon man has been assaulted on Dartmoor by a group of men.
The 58 year old man was taking photographs of the Moor at Saddle Tor car park at around 7pm on Sunday the 11th of September when the incident took place.
After being asked for a cigarette lighter he was set upon by three men who punched and kicked their victim, encouraged by a nearby female.
After stealing the man's Canon digital SLR camera, all four got into a car with another male and drove off at speed.
Police are now keen to trace the culprits; the first male is described as 6' ft and with a Celtic design tattoo on his neck. They all had beards and spoke with Westcountry accents.
Police are now trying to trace the attackers.
