Victim remains in a critical condition
Police investigating a serious assault on a man in Brixham last Friday (14th June) have charged a man in connection with the incident.
Gary Humphreys, aged 48, of Briseham Close, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
He will appear at Plymouth Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 19th June).
A 34-year-old woman from Brixham who was also arrested in connection to the matter, has since been released with no further action being taken.
The victim, a man in his 40s, remains in a critical condition in Derriford hospital.
