An Uffculme man has denied attempting to murder his estranged partner - but has admitted the less serious charge of grievous bodily harm.
22 year old Gareth Meek of Pathfields has appeared in court via video link.
He's accused in connection with an incident on February 1st in which his former partner Talia North suffered stab wounds.
He's been remanded in custody and the case adjourned, for the prosecution to decide whether to pursue the attempted murder charge.
