It happened on Cowley Bridge Road at 0450 this morning
A man in his 20s has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg this morning.
The Esso garage on Cowley Bridge Road has now reopened after an investigation.
Police have issued this statement: "Police were called at 4.50am today [22/1] to reports that a man had sustained a possible stab wound to his leg near the service station on Cowley Bridge Road, Exeter.
The victim further reported that his vehicle had been taken.
The victim, a man in his 20s, has been taken by ambulance to RD&E hospital. The severity of injury is currently unknown.
Those involved are believed to be known to each other.
Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
