Police were called just after midday on Thursday 6th December to reports of an incident near Fore Street towards Exe Bridges.
A man was stabbed in the hand with a broken bottle.
The area was cordoned off while a crew from the council cleaned up.
Police are asking anyone with any information is to contact 101 quoting log 322 for the 6th of December.
