Firefighters have rescued an elderly man from his home in Honiton.
They had to make a forced entry on Tuesday night after reports of an alarm sounding at the sheltered housing in Tremaine Close - and found his home full of smoke.
The man had fallen down in the kitchen while a pan was on the cooker .... he was treated by ambulance crew.
