A Government initiative being launched in Crediton today aims to tackle unemployment, school truancy and anti-social behaviour.
The Targeted Families Support Programme involves identifying families with problems early, and providing more intensive, continuous and co-ordinated help than before.
One key element is having one person designated to work with the family and share information with other bodies, rather than having several organisations involved in different ways.
The scheme's been up and running in Tiverton for 18 months and is now being rolled out in other areas.
