A new police and crime plan for Devon and Cornwall Police, to be published tomorrow, will see 100 new officers on the streets and 50 new criminal investigators.
It is all going to cost £24 million over the next four years.
£10 million of that will come from money the police force has in reserve, the rest will come through an increase in the police's element of council tax, together with efficiency savings.
