Police are appealing for witnesses
Devon and Cornwall Police say a man has died after losing control of his motorbike.
Emergency services were called to the A379 Teignmouth Road in Torquay last night (Wednesday 26th June) at 8.49pm.
They say the motorbike had been travelling from Torquay towards Teignmouth. The motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man from Teignmouth, lost control and collided with roadside furniture. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers from the Devon and Cornwall Police’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scene of Crime Officer.
A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.
Police thank the public for their patience while they investigated the scene.
