Tonight traditionally sees the biggest Christmas celebrations in Exeter as most people finish work for the festive break - and a new 'help zone' is being set up for revellers.
Anyone needing medical treatment, a safe refuge or a quiet place to sober up can call in at the Mint methodist church, where police, health workers and street pastors will be on hand to help.
It's a scheme already up and running in Torquay but this is the first time it's happening in Exeter - however the Help Zone could become a regular fixture if it's successful.
